Privacy policy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled on the platform and outlines your rights. The server is located in Germany. Please read and agree to this policy. Your consent is required to access and use OrganicAdviceNetwork.space.
By using the Space personal data about you is stored. This includes your name and e-mail address, which courses you use and what and when you have done in these courses. Performance results from the courses (test results, etc.) are also stored.
This data is linked to your person. It is therefore our duty to inform you that this data is collected and processed and what rights you have in this regard.
We ensure that internally only those persons who absolutely need access to this information are given access to it. We treat personal data confidentially and do not make it available to the general public.
Most of the data is entered by you. You therefore already know this data. Other data is generated automatically through assessments in tests and assignments or by trainers/tutors. In addition, logs of your use are automatically created on the server. These are used to solve technical problems.

The learning management system is used for the publication and implementation of self-learning paths, MOOCs and for collaboration, for example in networks as part of the OrganicAdvisoryNetwork project. Processing of data is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the German Federal Data Protection Act and the State Data Protection Act of the State of Hesse.
The data collected is analysed for the purpose of improving the educational offerings.
The data in your user profile will be stored until the user profile is deleted. The data from your participation in the course will be stored until the course is cancelled. Results from tests, learning packages and tasks and data on the completion of the course and the overall assessment are stored until the expiry of statutory retention obligations.
You have various claims against the data controller with regard to the data stored about you. These include
- Right to confirmation and information
When you log in to the platform, you can view the data stored about you yourself at any time. - Right to rectification
If incorrect data is stored, you can adjust some of it yourself (profile data you have entered yourself) or request the controller to do so. The controller will comply with the request if the correction is justified and appropriate. - Right to erasure
You have the right to have data deleted that is actually incorrect or for which the controller has no further purpose. There is no right to erasure of data if the controller is obliged to retain the data for legal reasons or due to other obligations (e.g. contracts with funding organisations) (proof of participation). The obligation to store data may also exist after termination of the user relationship. There is also no right to erasure if information was collected by you and this is in the context of information from other users (e.g. forum posts). - Right to restriction of processing
The controller will ensure that, in the event of restriction, data is only accessible to those persons who absolutely need to see the data. To this end, the controller may use pseudonymisation and anonymisation. - Right to object
You can object to the further use of the data. This can only take effect in the future. The right to object does not automatically oblige the controller to erase the data. If the controller has storage obligations for other reasons, it will consider this and inform you. - Data portability
You have the right to receive data that you have collected yourself in an electronic format that can be used elsewhere. This right is limited to data that is not subject to a trade secret and therefore may not be transferred to other organisations or that affects the rights of others, e.g. copyright. - Right to withdraw consent under data protection law
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your data. Withdrawal may mean that you will no longer have access to the learning platform and will no longer be able to participate in a course.
In the event of a breach of legal provisions for the protection of the data stored about you, you can contact the competent supervisory authority. The responsible supervisory authority is

There is no profiling within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation. In the context of courses, tests can form the basis for proof of the qualification required to complete a course. Tests are analysed automatically. The test questions are compiled for each individual Kura by human experts.
It is currently not intended to use the data for purposes other than those mentioned above. If the data is to be used for other purposes in the future, we will inform you in advance.
Integration of YouTube videos
We have integrated videos from the YouTube platform on our website. YouTube is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("YouTube"). The YouTube videos are integrated in extended data protection mode. This mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to our website before they watch the video.
As soon as you play a YouTube video on our website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and your IP address and the information about which of our pages you have visited is transmitted to YouTube. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or customising its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide customised advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.
The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
