OrganicAdviceNetwork project aims at building a strong network of advisors with organic competences across Europe. As part of this mission, the project organizes cross visits for agricultural advisors to meet, exchange and share their innovative organic farming practices.
Join us for this Organic Advice Network Cross Visit on vegetable production! A comprehensive 3-day farm tour focused on managing successfully weed control in organic vegetables with a combination of real craftmanship, innovative mechanical solutions and new AI-driven applications. Gain firsthand insights into the challenges, solutions and management strategies that are decisive to get clean vegetable crops.
What you can expect from this cross visit
This cross visit offers participants an in-depth look into practices for mechanical weed control strategies in organic vegetable production in Belgium. By the end of the visit, you will:
- Understand what the key considerations for a successful strategy are to control weeds in vegetables regardless of good or bad weather conditions.
- Be familiar with possible strategies and machinery in small and medium scale vegetable farms.
- Gain insights into new AI-driven solutions for weed control and their perspectives.
- Meet experienced Belgian organic farmers and experts in weed control, as well as colleagues from across Europe.

You will be asked to provide some personal information, a brief description of your interest in joining this visit and your capacity in covering your travel costs. Participation is not immediate, but confirmation message is required, as the number of advisors who may join the visit is limited.
