Support & advice for mixed arable livestock organic farms facing climate change

Auxerre, France
21-23 September 2025

An historic organic dairy farm of 56 years old, 2 sisters with cows and dairy ewes, a vineyard that introduces sheep, and advisors: how to work together facing climate change ?

Yonne is a French historical land for organic crops. It is also an ideal place for mixed crop-livestock farms. After facing severe drought and climate change, farms have improved their system for feed & protein autonomy as well as their production of renewable energy. During this cross visit, we will work on:

  • Supporting change: a new way for advising
  • Autonomy of farms (feed, energy & protein)
  • Role of the advisor to support emerging enterprises (dairy sheep, cultures)
  • Transformation of dairy production
  • Recovery of production waste for quality fodder production: another vision of biogas
  • Sheep farming and organic viticulture: a win-win association
