Discover how organic farms around Valence and advisors are adapting to climate change, and participate in technical workshops and interactive games to learn more about sustainable agriculture. Visit innovative farms, attend conferences on the latest advances in organic and agroecological practices, and exchange with experts at the Tech&Bio International Fair.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit organic vegetable farms around Valence that have implemented innovative solutions to adapt to various challenges from climate change and the market. This visit provides valuable insights into the development of organic farming in Southern France, where the effects of climate change are already being felt. The aim is also to highlight how advisors adapt their job to great adaptability of agri-food systems that climate change demands. Additionally , participants will take part in the Tech&Bio International Fair, a key event for organic advisors featuring: Conferences on the latest advancements in organic and agroecological practices and market information. Live demonstrations showcasing innovative techniques for market gardeners. Technical workshops dedicated to sustainable farming methods. The program also includes dedicated time for knowledge exchange and mutual learning, along with engaging activities such as serious games to enhance the experience in an interactive and enjoyable way .
Registration
You will be asked to provide some personal information, a brief description of your interest in joining this visit and your capacity in covering your travel costs. Participation is not guaranteed, because the number of advisors who may join the visit is limited. Participants taking part will receive a confirmation message.

Requirements
Participation to the entire cross visit program. There is no possibility to arrive later 9:00 h on Tuesday or leave earlier 18:00 h on Wednesday at Valence TGV station, except for local participants.
Day 1: possibility to pick you up at Laroche-Migennes station around 1 p.m.
Day 3: possibility of dropping you off around 2 p.m. at Montbard station for departure for Tech&bio (Valence) or ParisContact
Participants
Agricultural advisor supporting organic farmers or famers in conversion as well as,advisors or young graduates willing to gain competences in organic advice arewelcome to join this cross visit.Maximum 15 participants.
Travel costs
In case you do not have budget to cover your travel costs, the project advisory partner in your respective country can reimburse part of your travel costs. Eligible countries for cost reimbursement are FR, DE, IT, BG, EE, DK, AT, CH, HU, ES,PT, HR, RO, IE, NL, SE, FI, CZ, PL, GR, SI, RS.
Eligible costs for reimbursement are transport (train, flight), accommodation (2-3nights), social lunch and dinners, up to a limit of 400-800 EUR/participant.
Once your participation to the cross visit is confirmed, you will receive more detailed information by the advisory project partner in your country about the conditions for cost reimbursement.
Costs during the Cross Visit are estimated around 380 EUR including for breakfasts, social lunch & dinner & activity as well as the accommodation for 3 nights. Rooms are pre-reserved in the Campanile Hotel Valence-Nord. This estimation does not include the food and transport expenses to reach Valence.
